
Youth angling programs serve to help people discover if fishing is right for them and help convert beginning anglers into long term capable anglers. While half of the participants consider themselves anglers, nearly one in five had no interest in fishing before attending a program and a third were interested but did not consider themselves to be “capable” anglers and needed support.
