Staff from Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation have been monitoring and providing input on the topic of lead ammunition since 2009. This informative webinar highlights the key insights gained from comprehensive research that identifies what impact lead ammunition has on wildlife populations. The presentation also covers true pricing and availability of lead and copper ammunition on a national scale.

The Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies adopted resolution: “2025-02-05 In Support of the Voluntary Best Management Practices (BMPs) for Reducing Unintended Ingestion of Lead Ammunition and Tackle Residues in Wildlife Developed by the Midwest Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies” during their annual meeting in September 2025.
Although OSCF did not deem the resolution to be necessary without further research, once the resolution moved forward, OSCF suggested critical edits to clarify the message of the resolution, many of which were adopted in the final resolution.
